I've been searching for why betta bites and eats his/her own tail and most results are due to boredom, stressed, or hunger. He also keeps biting his own tail and fin then eat it which makes me worry a lot. And he keeps searching and poking the stone, looks like he's trying to eat it or attacking it. He seems to keep pacing the glass, swimming frantically against it, and I think I overfed him, he seems to be bloat on swim bladder part but he still can swim quite normal.He also stay at the bottom corner of the tank quite often now. Then it seems to change a little bit, he started to grow some transparent cellophanes on the tail, he's recovering right? And he was happy and acting normal and blowing bubbles. Then the next day after I first apply the lotion, there seems to be some white fuzz that looks like tear cotton, but it got lesser day by day. He has only little tail left when I bought him in Pet Lover Centre, due to fin rot, I guess? Then, I bought him a medicine lotion called Aquadine Fish Care Specialist General Aid Special which cures ich, fin rot, body fungus, sore spots, and torn fins, and change water every morning for this week because he's in treatment, I took out the artificial plant to avoid him getting more fin split since there are some. It's a tank without any filter and heater, just some small pebbles/stones and an artificial plant.

My male betta splenden is living in a small tank, or maybe not, it's just a petco pet keeper, I know it's not enough for him but my parents don't allow me to upgrade it.
